The first-time Olympians will be joined by luger Shiva Keshavan, who is taking part in his fifth Olympics. But they will not be joined by the Indian flag. They will instead compete in Sochi as independent participants because India’s Olympic committee is suspended for violating the Olympic Charter. [The Wall Street Journal]
