I have a confession to make: as of this writing, I’ve watched this video of actor/rapper Utkarsh Ambudkar rapping about a little kid five times. It’s all part of a promo for the new Pivot special Freestyle Love Supreme, which airs on Saturday, March 8.

His obsession with creating the perfect pad almost cost Muruganantham his marriage and his livelihood, but thankfully it all worked out in the end. One stunning fact from the piece stuck out in particular and that’s the fact that “approximately 70 percent of all reproductive diseases in India are caused by poor menstrual hygiene.” (BBC Magazine)

The “carnival of democracy” is just around the corner: That fabulous phrase is how The Economist describes the upcoming Indian elections. Chief Election Commissioner V.S. Sampath announced on Wednesday that the election will start on April 7, with the results due on May 16. An astonishing 814 million Indians have registered to vote. As Reuters notes, that’s both greater than the population of Europe and a world record.

Aziz Ansari consults Reddit about modern romance: The comedian turned to Reddit this week to crowdsource some thoughts on life and love. It’s all in the name of research for his upcoming book on relationships and dating. Glamour collected some of the best responses to Ansari’s queries here.
