One of the most frustrating American Idol moments this season was when audience favorite Munfarid Zaidi was eliminated without warning last month. So naturally we were thrilled when the University of Texas student popped up and made a cameo appearance during last night’s episode. (And yes, judge Harry Connick, Jr. instantly picked him up and cradled him while Zaidi performed Connick’s own song “Every Man Should Know.”)
“Why are you not in Hollywood? You sound fantastic!” Connick exclaims.
Many of the viewers at home were wondering the same thing, Harry.
