Following last year’s sold out show at the Rose Theatre in Brampton, Canada, YouTube stars Jus Reign and Babbu will be back in concert this year as their seasonal sweater-clad personas Joe and Tanner Geeta, to bring their Christmas parody album to the stage. JusReign, who has been trained in classical Indian percussion and vocal styles, and his partner Babbu, have been putting their comedic Punjabi spin on Christmas music as the Geeta Brothers Duet Group since 2013. Their holiday-themed repertoire includes songs such as “Frost the Snowman,” “Pegg Nogg,” and “Dhan Dhan Baba Santa.”
The duo is going on tour in Canada this season to share their unique Punjabi Christmas spirit at live performances in Brampton (Dec. 17), Edmonton (Dec. 20), and Vancouver (Dec. 23). Calling itself “part magic and part ethnic” the tour is expected to feature new songs and content, plus comedy and guest performers. Tickets may be purchased at http://geetabrothers.com/. The 13-track “Punjabi Christmas Album Hits,” is available on their site, and on iTunes.
Earlier this week, the Geeta Brothers appeared on Toronto-based morning TV news show CP24 Breakfast to talk about their upcoming live concerts — watch the video shared by JusReign embedded below for a clip of the interview.
