Breakaway meets The Big Bang Theory meets Friday Night Lights?
Well, maybe not exactly. But Vinay Virmani, the star and writer behind the Candian Sikh Hockey film Breakaway, can be seen in the trailer for his new film Dr. Cabbie. It also happens to star The Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar and Friday Night Lights alum Adrianne Palicki.
Also set to make her acting debut in the film is Katrina Kaif’s younger sister, Isabel Kaif.
Virmani plays a young Indian doctor who moves to New York and has to resort to driving cabs after he can’t find a job in the medical profession. Suddenly, he’s delivering babies and saving lives in the back of his cab. Or at least that’s what I surmised from the trailer.
While the lawyer in me wonders if that’s covered by auto insurance or medical malpractice insurance, the moviegoer in me is pretty excited to go watch it. See the trailer below.
