The San Francisco International South Asian Film Festival, which is presented by 3rd i Films, features everything from art-house classics to documentary films. 3rd i Films organizers are committed to promoting diverse images of South Asians through independent film. The 2013 event showcases over 20 films from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Canada and USA. It honors the strides made by women behind the lens, and examines gender revolutions across South Asia and the diaspora. It also aims to shine a spotlight on stories from Pakistan, on the voices of South Asian youth and the Tamil diaspora.
