ICYMI: The Good Wife alum Archie Panjabi has booked a guest-starring stint on Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Here is what the Best Television Actress Ever had to say about the stint:
Very excited to be doing a stint with the wonderful team on @Brooklyn99FOX. Great to be going back to comedy! pic.twitter.com/ZUZTdNm1V6

This got me thinking (well, it got BuzzFeed’s Ira Madison III thinking and then, me, by extension): Will there be Good Wife jokes on Brooklyn Nine-Nine — because all television shows are interconnected and Archie Panjabi will always just be Kalinda Sharma?
For argument’s sake, let’s assume yes. Then let’s assume below is just a sampling of what they could look like:
Archie: [standing over a husband’s dead body] “His wife was the killer. She was a very bad wife.”
Archie: [to any of her coworkers] “After about the last four or six years, it’s great to be working in the same office as all of my coworkers again!”
Archie: [mentoring a junior coworker] “The last time I was asked to mentor a junior-level colleague, they inexplicably disappeared and then nobody ever asked what happened to her again.”
Archie: [out for a drink with coworkers] “It’s great to be doing shots with someone who is actually my friend and not someone who, from certain angles and for filming purposes, resembles that friend!”
Archie: [enjoying a bit of small talk] “It’s really great to be making small talk with my coworkers and not just have expository bits of dialogue.”
Archie: [having a conversation with Andy Samberg] “Wow! It’s been a while since I’ve had scenes with the show’s lead.”
Which is all to say that we’re looking forward to seeing Panjabi return to comedy — if only to wash away the off-screen drama that soured her The Good Wife exit. Also here is a picture of Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Stephanie Beatriz with Panjabi which is also quite rad.
