I push and I pull
I watch and I wait
I tire of being the one who wants
I don’t have the courage
to speak up and take it
I don’t have the wisdom
to know it’s not mine
but I know this much
what’s over isn’t a failure
what’s perfect isn’t forever
I’m in love with the memory of us
And I don’t ever have to fall
out of that
