Manjula Raman is one of the new voices on NBC’s The Sing-Off. The a capella competition is back after two years for its fourth season with host Nick Lachey and judges Jewel, Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman.

Raman’s Twitter bio says that she is an editorial assistant in New York. She appears on the show as a member of Element, one of 10 groups competing this season and the only all-girl one. Element’s Emily Goglia put together the group, which includes 10 women ranging in age from 25 to 35 (Zap2It). Did you watch them sing Ellie Goulding’s “Burn” on the series season premiere last night?

For a sample of Raman’s vocals and dance moves during her university days, check out performances with a capella group Higher Keys and Brown’s Badmaash, a dance company that interweaves South Asian and Western dance styles.
