Blush is the world’s first pan-Asian girl group. Assembled in 2010 by FarWest Entertainment, Blush consists of ambassadors from India, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines. Their latest single, “Warrior” isn’t likely to set the charts alight, but its ideal is worth looking at. In the wake of some heartbreaking news last week, many of us are beginning to think very critically about how we talk about race. We could afford to be a little more reflective and equanimous. Even a cynical music exec somewhere understood that we might need an easier way to begin these conversations and thus, the world got Blush.

I have to admit, it’s not a deep song, but I kind of like it. Also the concept.
