The new trailer for Janaki Tambe’s new webseries begins with a series of facts that are probably familiar to many of the Indian Americans reading this. These facts include the percentage of Indians who have a masters, doctorate or professional degree (40 percent), the fact that the current spelling bee champion, geography winner, and the reigning Miss America are all Indian and the fact that members of the community are disproportionately doctors.
But what about the rest of us? That’s what Tambe’s new series is set to explore. Watch the trailer to see the awkward situations that probably ring at least a little bit familiar to many of us.
