• Remember how Devyani Khobragade — acclaimed Indian diplomat and alleged visa-forger and breaker-of-labor-laws — was like, “Oh LOL, I’m above U.S. laws so I’m going to go back to India so I don’t have to deal with the consequences of my actions?” She was kidding y’all! Because she actually wants to come back to live and work in the U.S. — all without facing charges for the things she allegedly did wrong. [New York Post]

• Meanwhile, it seems like for every Devyani the U.S. catches in visa fraud- and labor law-related complications, dozens more might be slipping through the cracks. To stem further labor disputes from exploding so messily, U.S. agencies are now beginning to require stricter, more explicit employment contracts. [The Times of India]

• Deepika Padukone and Konkona Sen Sharma have both been nominated for Filmfare Awards, but I’m just mentioning them as an excuse to bring up that when someone inevitably produces a film about the trials and tribulations of Devyani Khobragade and Sangeeta richard entitled Nannygate: The Devyani Khobragade Story, how perfect would it be if Padukone was cast as the former and Sharma as the latter? Exactly. [The Times of India]

• Sri Lanka would like the U.S. to not pry too much further on possible war crimes within the island nation, thank you very much. [The Hindu]

• Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra invites you to pry into her still-in-progress pop career, as she steps away from the U.S. to try her hand at launching a single in the U.K. [Digital Spy]

• Do you suppose becoming a pop star is a lengthy process? Priyanka Chopra does: “The way the music industry works, especially in the West, is that one single comes out, it develops, it bubbles, then another one comes out, it bubbles. It is a process of a year and a half before your entire album comes.” Tell that to Lorde, by the way, who chucked that one song about not livin’ the luxe life out last year and followed it up quickly with her debut album. [Digital Spy]

• Mississippi Masala and Homeland star Sarita Choudhury is starring in a Chekhov play in New York. [The New York Times]

• Not at all owing to the latest media frenzy around an upcoming Freddie Mercury biopic, Queen guitarist Brian May has unearthed a “forgotten” track that features the late Mercury’s vocals on it. It will probably be out in the world at some point. [The Mirror]

• Feeling a little let down that there just isn’t enough Kalinda in The Good Wife lately? ME, TOO. Luckily for us, the creators of the show promise some juicy developments in her storyline soon. [Los Angeles Times]

The song is being released in the US too. Fans at the London event are just getting a sneak preview and then the song comes out in February.

The Internet has really led the downfall of facts and journalism. The wording of the Digital Spy article has confused a select few and now they’re spreading misinformation.
