Given the NFL Thursday Night Football‘s target demo, it was likely this kind of thing was going to happen sooner or later — even if we wished it wouldn’t. Before we get to the ugly racism that was directed against her, let’s review how flawless Priyanka Chopra‘s “In My City” promo was for the show:
Super-flawless? Right? Right.
Sure she was a bold, if unlikely choice, as the new queen for the NFL’s Thursday Night Football. Still, it makes you wonder what parallel universe a segment of NFL fans piling hate on her and calling her a terrorist exist in without maps and history books. But how messed up to think that her brownness disqualifies her from helping to celebrate an all-American past-time?!
Rather than fixate on the angry outbursts of a small sample of nincompoops, let’s heed her advice: “Shut the detractors with your work. Just keep being an achiever and keep achieving because there are so many people who support you.” The full Q&A with Lee Hawkins from The Wall Street Journal can be viewed below and is worth the watch.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is how it’s done.
P.S. Let’s regroup after you’ve watched the video to discuss how incredible her earrings are, okay?
P.P.S. While we’re talking about her earrings, let’s also talk about that amazing Kalinda Sharma-inspired up-do.

Perhaps the neanderthals that comprise the US football watching public felt ‘terrorized’ by hearing her awful music! HA!
Bad jokes aside, why is she even trying to crack the American market? Better o try her luck in Asia, Russia, China and South America which are huge markets for music – unlike the US, whose entire ‘music’ industry is slowly dying and has more people downloading stuff for free instead of paying for it!
